A draw was about right in this entertaining match. Madaschi scored with a header (5) but Livingston equalised (22) with the aid of a deflection. A great save from Arthur ensured it was still 1-1 at half-time. Good work by Grady made it 2-1 (63) then Gibson (A) headed over but Livingston got their equaliser 5 minutes later..

Livingston twice fought back from a goal down to earn a point at home to a battling Partick Thistle. The Jags took the lead on five minutes when Adrian Madaschi headed past Roddy McKenzie, but Livi soon equalised with a deflected Burton O'Brien drive. Thistle again hit the front with a tap-in by James Grady after the little striker had beaten Marvin Andrews and McKenzie to the ball. But a cool finish by Colin McMenamin made sure the spoils were shared.

Livingston were first to threaten and might have taken the lead if Derek Lilley's cutback had not fallen just behind fellow striker Colin McMenamin. In fact it was Thistle who went in front early on when David Rowson's cross from the left was headed past Roddy McKenzie by Madaschi from 10 yards. Moments later, at the other end, David Fernandez tested Kenny Arthur with a low drive from 25 yards but the Jags goalkeeper was equal to the task, gathering easily. Midway through the half, though, Livi were level. O'Brien cut in from the left and hit a right-foot shot that took a deflection off Gibson, which took it past Arthur and into the net. The home side almost made it two after half-an-hour when Jamie McAllister hit a low drive from distance that Arthur failed to hold, but McMenamin could only knock the rebound against the keeper's leg. McKenzie had to be alert eight minutes later to tip a Willie Howie header over the bar and, from the resultant corner, the ball fell to the unmarked Billy Gibson eight yards out, only for Manu Dorado to get back to make a fantastic saving challenge to prevent a certain goal. The Livi keeper was in action again moments later and he did well to push a shot from the edge of the box by Rowson away to safety. On the stroke of half time it was Arthur in the Thistle goal who came to his side's rescue. Marvin Andrews knocked the ball across goal, leaving McMenamin with an open goal. But as the striker stretched to knock the ball into the empty net, Arthur somehow got back across to keep it out.

There was a lacklustre feel to the opening stages of the second half and McMenamin was first to come close after 58 minutes, but he headed O'Brien's cross wide under pressure. Shortly afterwards McKenzie punched Derek Fleming's fierce drive away but it was not long before Thistle were back in the lead. Grady got the better of Andrews at the edge of the box and he beat McKenzie in a 50-50 challenge, leaving himself the easiest of tasks to tap the ball into the net. But Livi were soon on level terms again when John Paul McGovern threaded a superb ball through to McMenamin, who slotted the ball past Arthur. With 11 minutes to go, McAllister once again tested Arthur from long range, but the keeper was equal to it. Arthur again kept his side level with a diving save as Lee Makel attempted to catch him out with a quick free kick.
