Thistle's third seems contentious. The BBC report states: “Thistle went three-up after 68 minutes, when a cross from the right by Anis was helped into the back of the net by Livi defender McNamee.” SB/SOS also backs this up. MP report in next home prog says the goal was originally down as an og but was later credited to Grady. From studying video evidence we can see that It was a flighted ball into the box and that the defender tried to chest it down to the keeper from a few yards. It went to the keeper's right and in off a post. A Thistle player was lurking at the post (we can't quite make him out but presume him to be Grady) but we don't think he touched it and therefore we stick with the McNamee own goal.

A richly deserved win. Grady pounced on a short back pass (10) and Britton scored with a looping header (41). Grady pressurised a defender to bundle in an Anis cross (og, 68) then Britton (73) and Thomson from a corner (82) made it 5-0 before mid-table Livingston (1 defeat in 8) took the shine off the score (85 and 90).

Bottom-placed Partick Thistle added to the problems of crisis club Livingston with an impressive victory at Firhill. James Grady chipped the opener from 12 yards after a poor backpass and joint player-boss Gerry Britton headed the second from Jean-Yves Anis' cross. David McNamee could only help another Anis centre into his own net for the third before Britton drove in and Andy Thomson made it 5-0 from close range. Lee Makel replied from 20 yards before Colin McMenamin headed the second. Thistle have now given themselves some cause for optimism for SPL survival and now lie just seven points adrift of second-bottom Aberdeen.

Livingston had been forced to axe seven players this week after being placed in administration and the Jags left the shell-shocked opposition rocking with a strike from Grady after only 10 minutes. A short pass-back from defender Marvin Andrews allowed Grady to nip and chip an angled shot from 12 yards past despairing Livi goalkeeper Roddy McKenzie for the striker's 13th goal of the season. An Anis 30-yard piledriver almost caught McKenzie out at his left-hand post. But, four minutes from the break, the former Chelsea defender's raking cross to the back post found the unmarked Britton, who cushioned a 14-yard header over McKenzie. Thistle resumed their control after the break and David Rowson came close with a tremendous 25-yard drive that went only inches past the post. Andrews headed past from only eight yards out in a rare Livi foray up the park. Thistle went three-up after 68 minutes, when a cross from the right by Anis was helped into the back of the net by Livi defender McNamee. The home side's lead became unassailable five minutes later, when veteran Britton notched his double when he blasted a left-foot shot from 14 yards past McKenzie. Jags defender Adrian Madaschi's header from a John-Paul McBride corner came off the crossbar and substitute Thomson, on earlier for Britton, bundled the ball in from close range eight minutes from time. But Livingston midfielder Makel pulled one back with five minutes to go with a 20 yard free-kick. And then, in the first minute of injury-time, Livi substitute McMenamin scored the visitors' second, heading home a Burton O'Brien corner.
