After half-time they missed several chances before Britton hit the bar again. Their luck wasn't in on the day and the 12-game unbeaten run came to an end.

Rock-bottom Raith Rovers stunned league leaders Partick Thistle to keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation. First-half goals from top scorer Nacho Novo and Darren Henderson gave Raith the advantage and a fine defensive display after the break saw them withstand constant Thistle pressure. Novo struck his 18th goal of the season after just three minutes when he skipped past Scot Patterson and beat goalkeeper Kenny Arthur from a tight angle and Henderson's powerful header from a corner midway through the half doubled the home side's lead. Partick top scorer Gerry Britton went closest for the visitors when he twice hit the top of the crossbar - but despite plenty of possession, they failed to seriously threaten the Raith goal.
