Thrashed again by easily the best team in the league and runaway leaders. The defence was split wide open for the 1st goal (24) then a diving header (33) put Saints well ahead. A 30-yard free-kick (48) and a nodded goal by ex-JAG Grant when he out-jumped Cairns (68) completed the misery. More anger from the crowd.

St Johnstone will have to wait another week before the inevitable becomes reality, when they can uncork the champagne to celebrate clinching the title. An Airdrie defeat against Dundee and a St Johnstone victory over Partick Thistle would have signalled a Saints championship party at Firhill, but while the Perth side eased to a 4-0 win, Airdrie won as well. St Johnstone swept aside struggling Thistle with a stunning first-half performance. Philip “Fizzy” Scott's deadly double sealed the points. Second-half strikes from Sekerliougo and Grant rounded off the rout.
