Hardly in the game in the first half, Thistle were marginally better after half-time but errors by Hillcoat gifted Clydebank 2 goals (parried save, 53 and clearance hit forward, 55). An unchallenged header (80) then an overhead kick by Adams made it 3-1 (82) but a 4th goal (90) made certain. Embarrassingly poor. Play-off hopes gone.

Struggling Clydebank are five points behind Stirling but did their survival chances plenty of good with a 4-1 trouncing of Partick Thistle. James Grady got the opener in the 56th minute from a mistake by John Hillcoat. Two minutes later he was beaten again by Gary Teale's overhead kick. Grady added a third 10 minutes from the end. Substitute Charlie Adams pulled one back a minute later, but Graham Connell then added a fourth.
