A lacklustre game played in miserable conditions. A Kinnaird shot rattled the bar but it was goalless at half-time. Irons found woodwork too before Peebles headed in a Kinnaird cross (62). Peterhead had a man sent off (dissent, 78) before trialist Hyde nipped in to head home (88) to make it look more impressive than it was.

The third and final game of the Highland tour was played against Peterhead in miserable conditions and produced a lacklustre game all round. After a scoreless first half, GARY PEEBLES headed Thistle into the lead before trialist GARY HYDE gave Thistle a 2-0 win.
