The Little Report Thistle started the better but couldn't take any of the chances they made and Ayr finished the 1st half on top but without threatening Murdoch. A deflected shot by Irons (60) put Thistle ahead then Ayr had a spell of pressure before Rae ran in unmarked with a header from a corner (75) for a comfortable win.
