Unchanged Thistle had all the early pressure and when Ayr made a mess of a harmless cross McGlashan nipped in for an early goal (3). The performance deteriorated however and Ayr pressed for most of the game. The defence was sound, Duncan had some marvellous saves and Thistle held out for the win.
