With the wind, Thistle made little impression except for a McGlashan volley. After half-time a shot by English was spilled, Charnley made it 2-0 then a mishit shot by English deceived the keeper. Charnley scored with a pen then set up Robertson for 5-0 before English squeezed the ball in from a tight angle.
