Thistle were always 2nd best against a good Falkirk side. They took the lead with a 4-yard tap-in (20) and went close with scorching free-kicks. Thistle were more in the game in the second half and Mitchell hit the bar but a header from a corner was parried and knocked in for 2-0. Wright hit the post late on.
