2nd bottom v 3rd bottom. Kilmarnock looked the better team from the start. Abercromby was sent off on his debut (28) for an atrocious tackle and a diving header by future-JAG MacFarlane (37) won the vital points. Thistle seldom threatened. Brough had some fine saves and the bar saved them late on.
