Docherty had a header cleared off the line but despite Thistle's pressure 2nd top Airdrie hit them with a bewildering pen (push by Dempsey, 29) and Lambie was sent to the stand. A penetrating run and a simple tap in by future-JAG Campbell (31) ended the scoring.
