Brough saved at point-blank range then immediately after a header by future-JAG Adam put Brechin ahead (33). Minutes later a miscue in the 6 yard box proved to be another crucial miss for Brechin. McAdam scored after a goalmouth scramble (75). His goal (and other results) relegated Brechin to Div 2.
