Whilst the OH/RTH lists Eddie Gallagher as the oncoming sub, the MP stats beg to differ and, indeed, carries a report which specifically states that the press called it wrong by saying Gallagher when it was Kelly. Seems conclusive!

Facing a fierce wind and driving rain, Thistle (in all white) made little impression. Excellent saves by both keepers early in the second half kept it goalless. Thistle wasted chances but the winner came from a free-kick by Watson (keeper overstepped, 83). Brechin had a man sent off a min later. Kelly hit the post late on.
