The first 20 minutes were all Thistle and McAdam went close several times but Queens finished the stronger and Brough was a busy keeper. The game erupted when sub Smith got a red card after only 3 minutes on the field (he never played for Thistle again). A Watson pen (80) looked to have won it until Queens scored (88)
