Chances at both ends came to nothing and just as Thistle got on top, league leaders Airdrie scored from the spot (foul by Carson, 26). A clearance off the line then a good Brough save prevented it from being worse. Thistle made no impression after half-time and Hamill was sent off (foul on keeper).
