The blustery wind and heavily sanded pitch didn't make life difficult but Thistle were grateful bottom club Dunfermline's forwards wasted early chances. A beautiful curling free-kick from 25 yards by Watson put Thistle ahead (26). Doyle made it 2-0 with a fine solo run through the middle (43) and he scored again (81) for an easy win.
