Thistle had the better of the first half. O'Hara went close, Gibson missed a sitter and Rough was hardly troubled. A dubious, hotly disputed pen proved to be the only goal (dubious dive, 52). Thistle initially looked deflated however they rallied but couldn't find an equaliser as the crowd started to drift away early.
