Newly promoted Airdrie were lucky to be ahead at half-time with a goal worked through the middle with the Thistle defence missing (41) but they were unlucky to be reduced to 10 men after half-time. 2 second-half goals by Higgins (being used as a makeshift centre-forward) turned things around.
