Clydebank had a good spell then Somner and Melrose combined to set up Gibson who shot under the keeper (14). Rough had one of his best ever saves to prevent an equaliser when he changed direction and scooped a shot round the post. Thistle, Rough excepted, were not at their best but soared to 3rd top.
