Thistle had most of the play early on but it was mostly aimless stuff. Houston shot home (29) and Craig scored with a header after Houston beat 3 men and crossed (54) but they never managed to get on top of Ayr, who equalised twice (53 and 59). The defence looked suspect and a point each was fair.
