Arbroath almost scored with a 30-yard lob as well as hitting a post with a 25-yard free-kick but Thistle increasingly had the chances and they took the lead (53) when McQuade prodded home a cross. It was all Thistle after that and McQuade ran in unchallenged for his 2nd (89). They won the section by a point.
