Despite the score the works team put up a good show. They had 2 shots on target from 40 yards and restricted Thistle to 2-0 at h-t. Once they tired they resorted to the off-side trap and Thistle scored at will through Glavin (3), Craig (2) and Rooney. Down 6-0, Ferranti's goal (76) was well received.
