Saints hit the post after 5 minutes but it was Rae (T) who scored with a surprise opener (21) with a shot through the keeper's legs. Rae and Glavin mastered the midfield as Thistle had their best spell but the equaliser came (39). The roof fell in after half-time. Goals 46, 48, 68 and 69 rammed home Thistle's deficiencies.
