A brilliant goal by McQuade when he beat 4 defenders and smashed the ball home (13) then an OG (trundled pass-back, 19) set Thistle up. United fought back and Forsyth cleared with Rough beaten. It was all 3rd top United after half-time and they hit the bar but Chalmers slotted home a Gibson pass (63). A fine win.
