A good start by Thistle saw Coulston head just wide then McQuade flicked a Rae cross on to the bar but poor defending let Palace in to score (22) with a powerful shot into the corner. Rough had no chance with a brilliant 25-yarder for a 2-0 half-time lead. Thistle wilted after half-time but Rough kept the score down.
