Airdrie, playing the new-fangled 4-3-3 formation took the lead with Thistle's defence was torn apart leading to a tap-in (35). A neat header by Bone from a Lawrie cross just after half-time levelled the scores then Lawrie's header was cleared off the line. An energetic and robust game ended in a fair result.
