McQuade excelled in this match with his mazy runs, shooting and misses. One of his crosses was deflected off a defender and Lawrie scored just on half-time. Thistle went into a shell and soaked up the pressure until a header off a rebound at a free-kick (87) and a goal (90) put paid to their plan.
