Thistle moved the ball about well despite the pools of water on the pitch. After a brisk start by Clydebank, Thistle had the bulk of the play. Lawrie headed in a Reid cross (30) for a deserved lead. Clydebank were much more dangerous with the wind after half-time but it ended 1-0. Thistle eased up to 2nd top.
