| Thistle were the better moving side but found 2nd bottom Shire a tough nut to crack. Glavin's header was punched over the bar then Lawrie shot wildly past. Shire blazed over from 6 yards just after half-time. Lawrie scored from a McQuade cross (64) then McQuade made sure of the points late on. |
