The Little Report Thistle were pinned back for most of the game. Rangers missed numerous chances, hit the post and had a shot cleared off the line. A goal from a scramble (78) and another (88) did the damage by which time Thistle's players seemed to have given up. Rangers announced Thornton would be their new Asst Mgr.
