A howling gale made for difficult conditions for two unchanged teams but Coulston (a header from a Rae cross, 20) and Rae (from a tight angle, 42) put Thistle ahead. Kilmarnock's goal (53) gave them hope but with sub McParland an extra centre-half, Thistle held on comfortably for a fine win.
