A hard, bruising game in which luckless Thistle's hard work wasn't enough. Morton's goal (76) saw three forwards off-side and Thistle became the only pointless team in the division. Ex-Third Lanark player Busby made his only appearance. Morton's new Dane (Jensen) was warned twice about elbowing.
