Bizarrely, Firhill had red pitch markings for this match. It was a drab game with little in the way of goalmouth excitement. Chances were few but Airdrie scored with a long shot (40) giving Niven no chance. The second half was no better and Airdrie earned their 1-goal win comfortably. Shot-shy Thistle.
