Thistle laid siege to the Airdrie goal but the forwards lacked guile. An angled drive by Gibb (42) finally gave them the lead. Roxburgh rounded the keeper and scored (56) then he hit the post. It all looked settled until Airdrie scored soon after and a goal (87) earned them a point their play scarcely deserved.
