Niven was in action as early as the 3rd minute as Dundee pressed. He had some excellent saves, but Thistle also had chances. Duncan wasted the best of them when he rounded the keeper but hesitated and the ball was cleared off the line. The keepers had lots to deal with but it ended goalless.
