The Little Report Kilmarnock (sitting 2nd top) made no impression on a fine Thistle defence. Thistle were more methodical and the forwards adapted better to the sanded pitch and were a threat throughout the game. Ewing's goal (a hooked shot close in at a free-kick, 15) won the points. Ewing and Kilpatrick were outstanding.
