Unusually, the 2nd replay was played at Gayfield (as was the 1st replay). Verified GH. Presumably, Arbroath won the toss of a coin or some such lottery.

Finally, Thistle saw off a brave Arbroath side who scored (5). Brown equalised from the spot (25) but Arbroath deservedly regained the lead (44). Duffy levelled (67) then Smith bored his way through and scored the winner (75). Arbroath won all the plaudits and were attacking at the final whistle. A lucky win.
