Leading 3-0, defensive lapses (75 and 81) almost cost Thistle a point in a game they controlled from the start. The Duffy/McParland partnership was outstanding. Duffy (1), McParland (17) and Muir (52) put Thistle well ahead in a one-sided game until the defence made for a jittery last 15 minutes but Freebairn kept them out.
