In glorious weather, 18,000 saw Mathers' header cleared off the line then Harvey hit the bar. McParland “scored“ with a left foot drive (38) that went through a hole in the side net. He hit the post, as did Smith. Thistle were the better moving team but were unlucky. It was a scrappy game nonetheless.
