Thistle were weakened by injuries but contained Celtic in a dull 1st half. Goals (49, 51 and 59) - some aided by poor defending - saw Thistle off. Collins, Kerr and Mathers tried hard but spirit alone wasn't enough and the makeshift defence inevitably wilted. “Celtic were faster and stronger” (GH).
