The fans did not appreciate the lethargic start but Ewing gave Thistle the lead when his header smacked the bar and he scored with the rebound (15). Thistle were superior at half-back but the forwards were wayward at times. 15 minutes from time Wright scored from 8 yards for a comfortable win.
