Thistle received a Quarter Final (1st Round) bye. OH credits Bert Thomson with an appearance and a goal here, but the GH initial tells us it should be Laurie Thomson who gets the credit in both instances.

A poor game. Neither keeper had a shot to save in the first half. Harvey scored the opening goal from 15 yards just after half-time and fine play by Crowe set up Thomson for the 2nd a few minutes later. Queens (Second Division champions) hit the bar but Thistle ran on to be unconvincing winners. Only Ewing caught the eye.
