It was frantic stuff for Thistle for the first 20 minutes then East Fife scored (26) but MacKenzie equalised (29). Most of Thistle's attacks came from Ewing such was his “wizard command of the ball” (ET). Davidson put Thistle 2-1 up from the spot (55) but the Fifers rallied and deservedly scored (73) for a point.
