The Little Report 14,000 saw the official opening of the floodlights. It was a poor game with some of the players confused by the lights and others engaged in running feuds. A brilliant 25-yarder from Kerr (5), fine play by Ewing and Blanchflower of shot-shy Tottenham were the only pleasing aspects of a disappointing match.
