Thistle hit woodwork twice before MacKenzie tapped in a shot that had run along the crossbar (8). Howitt scored a 2nd (49) then Clyde's goalkeeper was carried off. McGowan moved to the wing (an eye completely closed) and weakened at full-back, 10-man Clyde scored but so did Mathers and Walker (85 and 89).
