The Little Report Thistle seldom threatened as Celtic took a 2-goal lead inside the 1st half-hour. Howitt wasted a good chance as he dithered on the ball then Bell had a fine save to keep it 2-0 at h-t. A header from a cross made it 3-0 (48). Walker scored from a Stott pass (79) but it was of little consequence. Well beaten.
