Stirling missed 3 chances in as many opening minutes before Thistle took a grip of the game. Sharp had the ball in the net (30) but he was off-side. 2 goals from Stott, the first a penalty for hand ball and with a fine pass from Walker settled the tie. Thistle were far from convincing. Albion's play deserved better.
