  • Historian Bobby McNally writes: “I think the 1951 Inverness Thistle LH is Johnny Christie (if so he's playing out of position but that's a slightly odd looking ITFC lineup anyway); if so that would be quite the generational span, his son Charlie is #10 in the Inverness Select 1991 and will have faced PTFC many times with ICTFC and Charlie's son Ryan is not unknown himself these days.
  • HN reckons it was Willie Crawford who got Thistle's opener, but we go with Norrie McCredie per IC/AEE/EEN.
