Shotts. Testimonial for Shotts player Woods who had lost an eye in a mining accident. Over 5,000 saw MacBeath give Thistle the lead from a Walker cross (25) but Celtic equalised 2 minutes later. Walker scored just after half-time then Ledgerwood put up the shutters to keep Celtic out until they equalised (67).
